Howl Terms of Service

By using Howl (“the Platform”), whether as a pet owner (“Owner”) or as a service provider (“Provider”), you agree to the following terms:

1. Platform Purpose

Howl is a platform that connects pet owners with independent pet care providers for services such as dog walking, sitting, and daycare.
Howl does not employ, supervise, or directly manage Providers. Each Provider operates independently and is solely responsible for their own services.

2. Independent Providers

All Providers who use Howl are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Howl.
Providers set their own pricing, schedules, and service methods. Howl is not responsible for the conduct, performance, or actions of Providers.

3. Payments and Fees

Payments between Owners and Providers are processed through a secure third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe).
Howl may charge a small platform or service fee for facilitating transactions.
Payments are considered final once services are rendered. Howl is not responsible for refunds or payment disputes between users.

4. Liability

Howl does not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any pet care services arranged through the Platform.
By using Howl, you acknowledge that any agreements for pet care are made directly between Owners and Providers.
Howl is not liable for injury, loss, damage, or claims that may arise during or after a service.

5. User Conduct

All users agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account or booking.
  
  

• Treat pets, Owners, and Providers respectfully and safely.
  
  

• Comply with all local laws and regulations regarding pet care and animal welfare.
  
  

6. Dispute Resolution

If any dispute arises between an Owner and a Provider, both parties agree to attempt resolution directly.
If further action is required, disputes shall be governed by the laws of California and handled through binding arbitration or small claims court within that jurisdiction.

7. Privacy

By using Howl, you consent to the collection and use of your information (such as contact details and service preferences) for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
Your information will never be sold to third parties.

8. Updates

Howl may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
